SCALP-04 contains diode laser, optics, camera and immersion liquid container. Recording of the data and stress calculation is done by PC, connected over USB. Handling of the polariscope is simple &#8211; clean the glass, apply a drop of immersion liquid, place SCALP onto the same spot and press the measure button in software.
